Infrared test
The Samsung Pro815 is a new digital camera with a huge 28 to 420mm zoom range and lots to like. Full review will be posted very soon.
Its IR sensitivity is adequate, making this a decent camera for infrared photography.
The raw IR image from the camera. The slight ghosting is from holding the IR filter in front of the lens as I did not have the right size conversion rings to hand. Exposure was 1.6 seconds at f3.2 and 50ISO.
The result of a straight grayscale conversion is shown above.
Taking the red channel alone gives the very effective result shown above.
Noise is acceptably low.
