This site shows the great wedding and portrait photography, as well as other work, of the American photographer Nadia Salameh.
Nadia is an American photographer from Southern California who is presently on an extended residence in Barcelona, Spain. She is a specialist wedding/portrait photographer but also actively works on personal projects involving people and nature. I met Nadia while in Barcelona and at Arles. Nadia’s great asset for the type of photography she does is a natural, warm and easygoing rapport with people. This is essential for getting the best out of a subject or group and Nadia has it naturally.
The photography on her web site is excellent. Predominantly people, there is also some great landscape and wildlife photography. But people are Nadia’s strongpoint and her wedding and portrait photography covers a creative and natural style that is very pleasing. A large amount of photography is visible on her site, allowing potential clients to get a good feel for what she is capable of.
Her web site is Flash-based and makes good and effective use of it. The opening sequence is intriguing enough to make you want to watch it and does a good job of hinting at what you will see inside the site. Once in, the site is divided into four main sections: wedding; portrait; global people photography; and landscape/fine art. In addition there is a biography and contact form. The four galleries display small thumbnails across the bottom below a large image of whichever image your mouse hovers over. It is effective and elegant. The only criticism is that because of the large number of images in each gallery, they can take a little while to load, even on a fast Internet connection. However, you are rewarded for your slight wait by some great images, so I did not find this a problem. It might make it hard for users on slow connections though.
All round, this is a great website. Great imagery, great design. It should be an effective selling tool for Nadia too.
